Novena to St. Charles, Patron Saint of African Youths... Day 8 - 2nd June 2014

Today, we pray for all the Faith and Evangelism;

Let us pray, that God will  stir all faithfuls over the world to be more fervent in their faith,  that which they occasionally profess in the Apostle's creed;

that we may never become lukewarm or despondent concerning matters of our faith, but rather burn with an inward fire that will ignite others who are dead in sin and thus spur them back into fervent Christianity;

Let us pray, as once Christ prayed when he said: "the harvest is rich,but the laborers are few; that God will raise up men and women from among us who will take up the challenging task of spreading the good news to all the ends of the earth;

As the bible records: "Call upon me I will answer,  but how can they call if they don't believe, and how can they believe what they don't know' and how can they know it without hearing, and how can they hear without the preacher...";  we pray for an increase in preachers and ministers of the word, who will  help to spread the goodnews to all nooks and crannies of human existence, just as Christ Jesus had charged us;

For these and other intentions, we pray to the Lord...
